Birds and Owls

Updated: Mar 7, 2021

Good Morning, By: Stacy Dorsey, MA 10/23/2020 Welcome to a new day full of possibilities. I woke up at 2 am this morning. Wide awake excited for the day (I will regret that at 3pm). I could hear outside my window what sounded like an owl calling her baby. The baby sounded like she was crying out to mom to save her. It went on for maybe 10 minutes, I heard a little scuffle, and it was quiet. It reminds me of my life. So many times, I have fallen from the nesting hand of God only to cry out to him to save me, and like a good father, he collects me once again and brings me back into the flock. In addition, you can believe that you have fallen too far for so long that God has given up on you. The truth is he’s been right beside you just waiting for you to cry out to him to save you. How about you. Do you feel God has left you? Is hope a fairytale? Do you believe that no one could possibly love you? Do you feel abandoned and alone? If I may I’d like to introduce you to someone who loves you so much that he took on all your sins and died a horrible death on a cross. Just for you. He did this so you will not have to pay the price of your sins if you just believe. For God so loved YOU that he gave his only son, that if you believe in you will not die but have eternal life. John 3:16 You will never fall away from his grace and mercy. Ask for help God has placed you here for a reason. You have a purpose. If you are struggling with addiction Providence is here to introduce you to a new way of life. A life that has a firm foundation. You just have to cry out, like the baby owl. He will scoop you up and put you in the nest of salvation. So that you can soar like an eagle. but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31
